1. History
Hacettepe University, established on February 2, 1954, by Prof. Dr. İhsan Doğramacı as part of Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, became an independent institution in 1967. Today, it stands as one of Turkey's leading universities, particularly renowned in the field of medicine. With two main campuses—Beytepe and Sıhhiye—the university comprises 15 faculties, 15 institutes, 2 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, and 98 research and application centers. The Beytepe campus spans an area of 1,500 hectares.

Hacettepe University consistently ranks among Turkey's top 10 universities. In certain years, it has achieved the first position. Internationally, it holds positions such as 641–650 in QS World University Rankings, 201–300 in Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 rankings, and 701–800 in the Academic Ranking of World Universities

Hacettepe University has successfully ranked among the top 500 universities in the world over time. In several international ranking lists, it is consistently featured among the top global institutions. Out of approximately 50,000 students, 1,583 are international students. Particularly, its high-quality education in the Faculty of Medicine makes it one of the most preferred universities in Turkey. Education at Hacettepe is offered in Turkish, as well as 30% or 100% in English, French, and German. While the Faculty of Medicine is located on the Sıhhiye campus, other faculties are based on the Beytepe campus.
3. Campus Life
Student life at Hacettepe University is centered on the Beytepe campus. Its wide, green landscape adds significant beauty to the university environment. The campus features an Olympic-size swimming pool, a sports complex, a large stadium, a shopping center, and student dormitories. Through various student clubs, students organize a wide range of activities, enjoying a socially engaging and vibrant campus life.
4. Advice for Applicants
Hacettepe University has two campuses in Ankara. For departments with 100% foreign language instruction, applicants must take the relevant foreign language exam. For programs with 30% foreign language instruction, both the relevant language exam and the Turkish proficiency exam (TÖMER) are required.

Although Hacettepe University has its own dormitories, students may face difficulties in securing a place during their first year. However, private dormitories located on the Beytepe campus are available, and they tend to be more affordable than those located outside the campus. Renting accommodation off-campus is generally not recommended, as it results in a significant loss of time during commuting and distances students from essential on-campus facilities such as libraries, gyms, and swimming pools.
Academic life at Hacettepe is as rigorous as its beautiful campus. Therefore, applicants are strongly advised to develop good study habits and have a solid foundation in Physics, Chemistry, and English. The Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry are located in the city center, where Hacettepe does not operate its own dormitories. Given the intensity and workload of these programs, securing nearby housing is highly recommended.

Başvuruda qəbul edilən imtahanlar:
1) TR- Yös* - Abutriyyentin girdiyi TR-YÖS imtahanından ən az 400 bal toplamaq. Özel Yetenek üçün 300 bal toplamaq.
2) SAT I* - ən az 1200 bal toplamaq. Özel Yetenek üçün 700 bal toplamaq.
3) GCE A Level: (General Certificate of Education)** - Ortalamanın ən azı C olması şərti ilə; müraciət edilən sahə ilə bağlı fənlərdən ən azı 3 A Level və ya 2 A Level və 1 AS Level (AS Level fənni A Level fənlərindən fərqli olmalıdır.) Özel Yetenek üçün Ortalamanın ən azı C olması şərti ilə; istənilən 3 fəndən A Level və ya 2 A Level və 1 AS Level (AS Level fənni A Level fənlərindən fərqli olmalıdır.)
* İmtahanların keçərliliyi 2 ildir.

Sənədlər Türk və İngilis dilində deyilsə mütləq onu tərcümə edilməlidir. Başqa universitetlərə də baş vuracağınızdan Türk dilində olması daha məqsədə uyğundur.

d) Tr-YÖS, SAT I və ya aşağıda olan hər hansı bir imtahan nəticəsi.
